Hey Joe,

The song is a Dylan adaptation by Kiko Veneno, an overall amazing guy and father of both Nuevo Flamenco and a hell of a lot of Spanish pop-rock of the past quarter-century.

The problem with Virgin was not only the “Mega” model, but the dead product from dead companies they were peddling at stupid prices. If two-thirds of yoursquare footage is devoted to CDs and CDs are simply not on anymore (plus, you haven’t quite figured out another product that will bring in the same sales level you had only nine years ago, and which basically set your pricepoints/marketing strategies), then there’s megatrouble.

The funny thing is that I keep seeing parallels to the wine industry…

En cuanto a la defunct Virgina Mega, que se puede decir? Tough times for retailers out there. Especially if you’re a ‘mega’ retailer. Time for smaller companies to reclaim what’s theirs, find a niche and go after it. Then again, more widespread disposable income would probably help….
